ISAF is offering other websites the option to link directly to the information on the ISAF website, and the attached information provides information about file names and locations to be used on the ISAF website during the Olympic Sailing Competition.

Please note that all results and mark by mark roundings are copyright to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and may not be copied on to other websites.

Getty Images

Getty Images has been appointed as the ISAF Official Photographer for the 2004 Olympic Sailing Competition and will be a daily image gallery on the ISAF website.  Images will include action from the race course and the shore, Opening and Closing Ceremonies and general venue shots.  Images of the medal winners will be posted as soon as physically possible after the medal winning races, complemented with images of the Sailing Competition Medal Ceremonies.

Whilst the principle aim of Getty Images and ISAF will be to ensure sailing achieves global coverage, it is also to service the requirements of ISAF and its Members. The relationship with Getty Images provides ISAF with access to all images taken at the 2004 Olympic Games.  A daily searchable photo gallery will complement the comprehensive ISAF Athens 2004 Microsite - www.sailing.org/olympics2004  - during the Olympic Sailing Competition, with the images remaining on the ISAF website for the future.

Servicing the ISAF family, Getty Images has committed to waive the royalty fee for images used by ISAF Member National Authorities (MNA's) and ISAF Classes for their internal purposes*. Preferential royalty fees will be negotiated for MNA's and Classes who wish to use images for external purposes. In addition, Getty Images will endeavour to service specific photographic requests of MNA's and Classes during the 2004 Olympic Sailing Competition. Please contact Matthew Eades from Getty Images directly in this respect.

* Internal Purposes are defined as: internal publications, office decoration, annual reports, brochures, leaflets, fliers, intranet use, editorial web use, online galleries, internal presentations, press releases.  Please note that when an ISAF MNA or ISAF Classes attaches a photo to their own media release, the image must only be used in this context. Therefore the picture must be accompanied by the text or part of the text from the release. It cannot be taken out of that context and used with another story created by the paper/website.
