MR 2.14:
2.14 All items of a yacht's equipment subject to control will be marked with the official ORMC mark. Some items will receive two control marks, one in a readily visible position when afloat, and a second in a position protected from wear and tear. After the items have been marked the team leader and helmsman of each boat are required to sign the regatta measurement form declaring that all controlled equipment has been properly marked and that none of the marked equipment will be changed during the regatta without the prior approval of the International Jury, which will consult the ORMC. Any such equipment not so marked shall not be used. If a mark starts to become obliterated through wear and tear, the fact shall be reported to the class measurer so that the mark may be replaced.
