Reduced price tickets for spectator boats to view the Olympic Yachting Regatta off Savannah are being offered by the International Yacht Racing Union to members of the Olympic family, which includes relatives of competing athletes and team support personnel. The tickets, subsidised by the International Olympic Committee, are available at half the regular price.

The IYRU is also able to offer a limited number of tickets for spectator boats to the public at regular prices for those days on which ACOG have sold out. The IYRU would like to ensure that as many people in Savannah and the surrounding area are able to share in the excitement of the 1996 Olympic Yachting Regatta.

To purchase tickets or for further information call 912 944 3611 between 07:30 hours and 10:30 hours daily. Tickets can be purchased with cash or credit card.

Spectator boats will depart daily from River Street at 09:30 hours and return at approximately 17:30 hours. The ticket price includes a buffet lunch and beverages. For those not familiar with the sport of yachting, commentators will be on board to explain the action. A guide, produced by the Savannah News Press, will also be available giving a full explanation of all aspects of the event.
