Speaking on the situation in respect of the core testing of the American and Danish SolingÕs, IYRU Olympic Chief Measurer, Mike Jackson said:

"we fully expect that the matter of the core tests on the usa and danish solingÕs will be resolved today."
He later added:

"the preliminary lab report arrival is imminent. we may be able to clear the issue up from the report, but it is more likely that we need to await the arrival of the second report, which gives a much more detailed laminate evaluation, in order to make a final decision."

USA Soling has passed Measurement.
Denmark results expected later today.

Mike Jackson, IYRU Olympic Chief Measurer: "in respect of the danish soling, the olympic regatta measurement committee have reported their findings to the international jury who will meet and resolve the situation tomorrow (saturday, 20th)."
Editor's note: UNOFFICIAL REPORTS from a couple of coaches who insist on anonymity are that the boat did not make it, that the Danes have drawn the second Spanish boat. Danish sailors were observed working on the boat. THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED, IS NOT OFFICIAL. We'll update this as we receive official notification.
