    The Naval Oceanographic Data Center has deployed several weather buoys in the race course area which provide real-time wind, wave and water temperature information. The buoy numbers and locations are:

  • 41021 -- 31 54 58N 080 51 15W
  • 41022 -- 31 53 17N 080 51 31W
  • 41023 -- 31 54N 080 54W

    Tides and Currents:

    Tide Flow Models based on different wind speeds. These animations were assembled from images provided by the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, in the article linked above. The "thumbnails" in the images indicate the tidal cycle. How to best view the animations: click on the link below to download.
